About Search Engine Indexing
Search engine indexing is the process of adding web pages into search engine databases so they can appear in search results. When you submit URLs to search engines, you’re essentially requesting them to crawl and index your content more quickly than they might through natural discovery :cite[1]:cite[4].
Why Use the Google Indexing API?
The Google Indexing API allows you to notify Google when your pages are added or removed, which can lead to faster crawling and fresher search results. While officially designed for job postings and livestream video content, many website owners use it for other types of content as well :cite[1]:cite[3].
Supported Search Engines
Our tool helps you submit URLs to multiple search engines, though API integration is primarily available for Google. Other search engines may have different submission methods:

Benefits of Quick Indexing
- Faster visibility: Get your content into search results more quickly
- Competitive advantage: Index time-sensitive content before competitors
- Improved SEO: Fresh content can positively impact rankings
- Content protection: Get your original content indexed before scrapers
- Better user experience: Users can find your latest content quickly
How Indexing Works
When you submit a URL to Google via the Indexing API, Google adds it to a queue for crawling. The API allows you to specify whether a URL has been updated or deleted. For updated URLs, Google will attempt to crawl and index the page. For deleted URLs, Google will remove it from their index :cite[1]:cite[2].
Best Practices
- Only submit URLs that are publicly accessible and follow Google’s guidelines
- Use the API responsibly and stay within quota limits :cite[1]
- Monitor your submissions to ensure they’re being processed correctly
- Combine API submissions with other SEO best practices
- Regularly check the index status of important pages using Search Console :cite[4]
Important Notes
While the Google Indexing API can significantly speed up indexing, it’s officially intended for job postings and livestream video content. Using it for other content types may work but is not officially supported by Google :cite[1]:cite[3].
The API has quota limitations (typically 200 requests per day by default), and you may need to request additional quota for higher volumes :cite[1].
